What’s your morning routine?
Are you usually frantic in the mornings or are you able to remain calm and in control?
Have you ever realised how you start your day can dictate how the rest of your day unfolds?
It seems once you are in the feeling that all is chaotic, everything that follows seems an uphill battle. We even have the saying “got out from the wrong side of the bed”. How your day turns out is very much affected by your attitude. And your outlook can be determined by how you experience each moment.
Have you also noticed how much calmer you are when you are on holidays. While you usually have less responsibilities and time restrictions when you are away, you can nevertheless approach your work days with the same sense of serenity.
Try this exercise to create something new:
Before you go to bed the night before, mentally play out your morning. From the moment you wake to you walking out the door. Be as specific as you wish. Include all that you want to achieve. Approach each task with ease and joy. Imagine all going to plan.
Do this every night for 2 weeks and see if you can create something new.
